Many cosmetics and skin care products available in stores contain chemicals that are unnecessary for the skin. One way to healthy skin care is to make your own cosmetics at home

The ideal base for creating homemade cosmetics is coconut oil. It has many wonderful, health-promoting properties and a very wide range of applications, and at the same time it smells wonderful. It is suitable for use on both the body and hair. Many times it is also an important ingredient in healthy dishes and desserts. Below you will find 5 recipes for homemade cosmetics with coconut oil.

Homemade cosmetics with coconut oil

  1. Miracle face moisturizer.

Coconut oil is a great moisturizer, but used directly on the skin it can be too greasy. The ideal combination would be to mix 4 tablespoons of coconut oil with the juice of 2 lemons and 2 drops of vitamin E oil. To get the right consistency, beat the coconut oil with a mixer and then add the other ingredients. Vitamin E is brilliant for brightening up your facial skin, and lemon juice will lighten blemishes. The cream can be closed in a glass jar and stored in the refrigerator for about a week. You can use this cosmetic in the morning and evening, including it in your daily skin care rituals

  1. Natural face scrub.

A great pleasure after a tiring and stressful day at work is to go to a home spa. A natural face scrub with a beautiful coconut scent will be perfect for this purpose. It is gentle and does not irritate the skin on your face, but effectively removes dead skin and makeup residues. To make the scrub we will need – half a cup of coconut oil with a soft texture and a quarter cup of baking soda. Just mix the ingredients until you get a creamy mass and you are done. The product can be stored for as long as 3 weeks in a sealed container

  1. Eyelash serum – accelerates eyelash growth

Eyelashes through daily makeup and overuse of eye products can be weakened and fall out. Coconut oil has great regenerative properties, so it is ideal as an ingredient in eyelash serums. To prepare the product, we need to mix in a small bowl half a teaspoon of coconut oil, one tablespoon of castor oil and two drops of vitamin E oil. It is worth pouring the concoction into a small bottle and applying it to the lashes at least once a week with the help of an eyelash brush. The serum will be suitable for use for 3 months from the date of manufacture

  1. Coconut Lip Balm.

Coconut oil applied directly to the lips is a great balm on its own, but it can be improved by adding an additional ingredient. It can be beeswax in granules. This combination will moisturize your lips perfectly and make them smooth and soft. In a small pot, heat both ingredients in the ratio of 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of beeswax granules. Put the balm into a small, sealable container, wait until it cools down and put it in the fridge to harden. To enhance the effect, scrub your lips once a week

  1. Treatment to regenerate damaged hair.

Products containing coconut oil in their composition are great for regenerating dry and damaged hair. Coconut oil alone may not be enough, so to rebuild the hair is ideal to add two types of essential oils to the cosmetic. First will be myrrh oil, which has anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and regenerative properties. Peppermint oil accelerates hair growth. Mix 1 tablespoon of coconut oil with 2 drops of myrrh oil and 2 tablespoons of peppermint oil. Apply the mixture to your hair and distribute the product from root to tip using a comb. Wrap your hair in a towel or a cap and wait at least one hour. Afterwards, you may shampoo your hair. You may also like to go to bed with the treatment applied and only wash your hair in the morning
