Ecology is getting deeper and deeper into our lives… and very well! It is worth rooting in our consciousness the idea that we can function in harmony with nature. Even household cleaning chemicals can be replaced by natural products, e.g. for cleaning windows! Here are ways to clean your windows in a completely safe, eco-friendly and effective way!

Clean windows without chemicals

Are you dreaming of windows that will impress everyone with their shine and pristine cleanliness? There are several proven ways to do it and their effectiveness is even better than popular products available in drugstores. Discover proven ways to clean windows without using environmentally harmful chemicals!

Ready-to-use eco-friendly window cleaners

In stores, and not just those with select cleaning products, you’ll find a whole cross-section of products that are perfect for cleaning windows and are also eco-friendly. Let’s start with what they contain. In their composition you will find vinegar, alcohol, but also natural additives that give fragrance and neutralize the odor emitted by the ingredients that are responsible for excellent cleaning of glass surfaces. This set will be perfect not only for windows, but also for mirrors and other glass surfaces. What is the difference between the ecological agents and typical chemistry? They do not contain environmentally harmful borates and phosphates, and very often their containers are made of biodegradable material. It is also worth mentioning that it is not only about the fact that they are friendly to the planet, but also that they do not contain toxins dangerous for our children, for us and for the animals that are in the house. To clean your windows thoroughly, it’s also a good idea to purchase the right equipment, such as a telescopic pole that ends with a window cleaner. Then you can easily reach even very high and hard to reach places. Also in this case, it is worth choosing ecological solutions. These include e.g. a microfibre cloth, with which you can clean both the pane and the window frame. It does not leave any dust and you can use it many times after washing.

Cleaning windows with home products

You can also bet on cleaning windows with completely homemade preparations that you can easily make from the things you find in your kitchen. Such proprietary mixtures have a great effect, are effective and non-toxic. In addition, you can adjust the size of the container to your needs, which will not only make cleaning easier, but also ensure that excess preparation will not go to waste. So how do you make such a mixture?

To make a homemade liquid you will need:

  • 500 ml of water,
  • 2 cups of spirit vinegar,
  • 2 drops of glycerine,
  • A splash of lemon juice,
  • A bottle with a dispenser.

Combine all the ingredients together, it is best to do it right away in the dispenser. After pouring all the ingredients and screwing the cap on, shake the bottle vigorously. By adding lemon you will eliminate the unpleasant smell of vinegar and at the same time remove stubborn stains that are sometimes found on mirrors or windows. Glycerine, on the other hand, will allow you to create an invisible protective layer, on which dust will not settle. You can also add some rose petals or even peelings from different fruits to the whole thing, so your home will smell very nice.
