Just two ingredients are enough to create an excellent beauty care product, namely calendula oil. It is worth having it in your bathroom and using it whenever needed.

Not everyone knows that the marigold we see in gardens or flower beds has such a great effect on our skin. It effectively helps with various types of burns, abrasions, eczema or rashes, as well as varicose veins and scars.

It has strong anti-inflammatory, antifungal and antibacterial properties. It also improves skin elasticity, protecting it from harmful external factors.

How to make calendula oil?

Calendula oil is very simple to prepare. In fact, you only need two ingredients plus a vessel – a small jar or bottle.

First, we gather the calendula flowers. They can be fresh or dried. Pour sunflower or olive oil in a ratio of 1:4 and leave it carefully closed for about 4 to 6 weeks. During this time, it is important to shake the jar every few days – the movement will prevent the growth of bacteria, which could cause the whole process to fail and spoil the oil, which would be suitable only for the trash. Finally, just strain the whole thing and you are ready to use it.

Store calendula oil in a dark place. Direct exposure to sunlight would cause it to lose its beneficial properties.
