Simple, cheap and effective – yeast is one of the oldest ways to improve the appearance of skin, hair and nails. Here are some tried and tested recipes for a yeast mask.
Yeast rich in nutrients and vitamins is used not only in the food or brewing industry, but also in cosmetics. Their action is invaluable – they have a beneficial effect on problematic skin, brittle hair or weakened nails.
They contain biotin, B vitamins, folic acid, zinc, potassium, magnesium, iron, chromium, copper. They are also a source of easily digestible protein and pantothenic acid, which, among other things, accelerates wound healing and helps regenerate tissues. Yeast is also recommended in the fight against unsightly stretch marks.
In cosmetics, its detoxifying, cleansing, and antibacterial properties are valuable. Yeast inhibits sebum secretion, so it effectively prevents the formation of blackheads in acne-prone skin. They also come in handy for tired skin, to regenerate it and delay the aging process.
That is not all. Yeast is worth using for nail and hair care – to support their growth and condition.
You can easily buy ready-made cosmetics, which have yeast in their composition, but preparing homemade yeast mask is very simple and cheap.
To make a yeast mask for face, neckline or back you just need a teaspoon of powdered yeast mixed with a tablespoon of buttermilk, natural yogurt or milk. Such a paste should be applied for 20 minutes and then washed off with warm water.
You can enrich the yeast hair mask by adding egg yolk, a bit of lemon and castor oil. After 30 minutes, it must be thoroughly rinsed with lukewarm water.
Drinking yeast is also a great option. Such a yeast treatment is inexpensive and gives quick results. However, you need to remember to take a month off after three months.
