The hammam ritual is a body care and cleansing treatment that will stimulate the body. It gained its greatest fame in Morocco and Turkey. Indulge yourself and learn how to perform a hammam ritual at home step by step!

The main assumption of the procedure is to achieve peace and harmony. It was popular in Turkish circles already hundreds of years ago, and it is worth talking about a seance which restores balance to the body and spirit. The whole process is divided into four stages, at each of which we use products of natural origin. Symbiosis with nature is important, so if possible, do not use chemicals for this ritual.

The first stage

The first stage is to deeply moisturize the body. In the baths of North Africa and Asia Minor, which used to be a meeting place, high temperatures are reached at this stage. The resulting steam is intended to open the pores, moisturize the skin and prepare it for the next stages. In a home environment, a long, hot shower will be ideal. Take care of the atmosphere in your bathroom. Include candles, relaxing background music, your favorite incense, and a glass of wine to relax. While you relax to ambient music, your skin will rid itself of toxins

Deep body cleansing

Once your head is relaxed, it’s time for a black soap scrub. Use for this purpose a special Kessa glove made of rough material which will massage your body at the same time. Combine the product with water to form a paste. Apply the resulting paste to the body in a circular motion. A massage from the lower extremities towards the heart will stimulate the circulation. The correct use of the Kessa glove in combination with soap exfoliates dead skin and helps in the fight against cellulite. The body becomes firmer and smoother, and at the same time the skin becomes significantly more elastic. The massage should last about ten minutes. If you feel that some areas on your body need a massage of greater intensity, such as heels or elbows, give yourself time. The trick is to perform each part of the hammam with calmness and patience. Then rinse the soap off thoroughly with warm water while massaging your skin.

Savon Noir soap is made from olive oil and natural black olives. It looks a bit like a food paste. The soap works as an enzymatic scrub and is a very effective cosmetic. Dead skin is removed, and the skin is moisturized and regenerated, thanks to the saturated fatty acids contained in the soap. Provitamin A, vitamin E and acids nourish the skin and soothe irritation. That is why this cosmetic is recommended for people struggling with skin problems. Black soap cleanses pores and prevents anti-inflammatory conditions.

Stage III – Cleansing with clay

The next point is the application of Ghassoul clay on the skin. The product should be combined with water and spread on dry skin. Leave the applied clay on the body until it dries and crumbles easily. Once you are sure that the clay is dry, rinse it thoroughly with lukewarm water

Clay is extremely rich in elements such as magnesium, zinc, iron, potassium, copper, lithium, aluminium, calcium and silicon. The entire palette contained in volcanic clay makes this Moroccan cosmetic has no equal. Additionally, there are no contraindications for using it on the face. It deeply moisturizes, cleanses, firms and firms the skin. It is ideal for people struggling with cellulite after pregnancy or stretch marks on the abdomen. It can be used for sensitive skin, vascular or prone to allergies

The last stage – oiling

Finally, it is time for body oiling. After exfoliating and applying clay it is necessary to moisturize. Argan oil is a natural ingredient originating from Morocco. It has soothing, nourishing and regenerating properties. It promotes hair and nail growth, prevents split ends and has an anti-wrinkle effect. It is used to treat wounds and effectively relaxes the body
