More and more people struggle with the problem of dandruff. Although it is not a serious disease, the condition can be troublesome. Check how you can try to get rid of dandruff using home remedies
Dandruff is nothing more than excessive scaling of dead skin on the scalp. It occurs due to excessive drying of the scalp caused by external factors such as intensive shampooing, hard water and low air humidity.
The best way to get rid of dandruff
This method is ideal for people who also have problems with severe hair greasiness. Separate the white from the yolk and whip it into a froth. Add the egg yolk and thoroughly mix the whole mixture. Apply the mixture to the thoroughly washed scalp for half an hour and then rinse it off
Lemon juice in the fight against dandruff brings effective, albeit short-lived, results. The frequently changing pH of the scalp is a contributing factor. However, the acidity of lemon is able to create a protective barrier against the microorganisms that cause dandruff. Mix the juice of one lemon with two tablespoons of salt and one cup of warm water. Massage the mixture into your scalp and rinse after 10 minutes. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo
The use of vinegar to get rid of dandruff is a method known for many years. It is recommended to use apple cider vinegar, which has a much milder smell and high vitamin E content. In addition to removing dandruff, it leaves the hair shiny and strengthened. For the treatment, prepare a rinse: pour two tablespoons of vinegar into a glass of boiled water. Set the whole thing aside to cool, and then rinse the hair with the prepared solution. In the fight against dry dandruff apple cider vinegar can also be used in the form of scrub. It is enough to apply a paste prepared from a tablespoon of baking soda and a tablespoon of vinegar on the moistened scalp. After rubbing it in, leave it for 5 minutes, rub your scalp and then rinse it off. The treatment should be repeated once or twice a month.
Olive oil cleanses and moisturizes the hair, although it does not have fungicidal properties. Heat the substance so that it is lukewarm but not hot, and then massage it into your scalp in circular motions. Put a cap on your head and leave it on overnight. In the morning, wash the oil off with a mild shampoo.
Like olive oil, castor oil has a strong moisturizing effect. The ricinoleic acid in it kills the bacteria responsible for dandruff formation, and castor itself has fungicidal and bactericidal properties. You can add castor oil to your hair conditioner or massage it directly into your scalp after warming it up in your hands. It is a good idea to leave the massaged oil on the skin overnight.
Thyme, nettle, chamomile, sage and rosemary can help in the fight against dandruff. Pour boiling water over two tablespoons of the chosen herbs and let it steep for 20 minutes. Then strain and cool down. Rinse your hair with the resulting infusion or wipe your scalp with a soaked cotton ball, especially on itchy areas, after washing your hair in the evening. Wash your head again in the morning. The full herbal treatment should be done for one month. After its completion, to prevent the recurrence of dandruff, you can rinse your hair in herbs every few washes
